BILBAO TO MEET REAL SOCIEDAD THIS WEEKEND

Athletic Bilbao is set to do battle with Real Sociedad this weekend in the La Liga.

Real would be playing visitors and hoping to win or at least get a share of the points. On the other hand, the hosts would be hoping o get their fourth home win. Bilbao lost their last game against Malaga 2-1. They would definitely be hoping that they get their season back on track. The loss to Malaga meant they dropped to sixth position in the league, and the side would be happy to avoid a back to back loss this term.

Athletic Bilbao enjoy a decent home record, winning their last three games – scoring seven goals and conceding only three. They enter into the fray with a victory, having thrashed Sesto River 4-0 last week in a friendly. They seem to have the edge over Sociedad going into the game. Forward Aritz Aduriz seems to be back on form. Aduriz has scored four goals in four matches for Bilbao this campaign, and is the favourite to score against Sociedad on Sunday.

Real Sociedad entered the international break with a victory, defeating Real Betis by a lone goal. They place ninth in the league standings but they are only two points away from Bilbao – making it a real motivation to leap over them with a victory. Carlos Vela and Willian Jose are the strikers to lead the attack for Sociedad. Vela scored in the Betis game, and is 10/3 to get another goal with Bet365.
