On-loan Arsenal striker Carlos Vela was the difference between the West Brom winning a point and a losing at according to Brunt .

He reckons that the quality has been evident throughout his month-long spell at Albion.

“I think if Carlos Vela was a secret weapon for us then he won’t be now,” Brunt told the Birmingham Mail. “He’s looked pretty lively in training and we saw last week what he can do.

“We’re glad to have him on board for the rest of the season. He’s enthusiastic and Arsenal don’t have many bad players.

“The new manager wants him and I’m sure he’ll want more minutes. It’s not always possible to give him more minutes given the position we’re in.

“But he’s a great player to have on the pitch for us."
