Carlos Vela has contributed for Real Sociedad

7 goals and 3 assists is what Carlos Vela has contributed for Real Sociedad in this season.

The Mexican player is the top goal-scorer of his club and one of the players who has managed to create more assists as well. There is no doubt whatsoever that Carlos Vela plays a huge role for Real Sociedad and even though the Mexican player still hasn’t fully recovered from a surgery that he sustained earlier in January, Vela managed to play for a few minutes during Real Sociedad’s League match against Cordoba.

On March 22, Real Sociedad sealed a 3-1 victory over Cordoba and Carlos Vela entered the match at the 66th minute which was enough time for him to make an impact as the Mexican attacker provided an assist so that his teammate Alfred Finnbogason could score the 3rd and last goal of Real Sociedad, it was a huge victory as the team of David Moyes continue their journey of securing an Europa League spot and not only that but Carlos Vela does not appear to be out of form even though he went through surgery on February and was not able to play a competitive match for his team until now.

Carlos Vela had not made an appearance for Real Sociedad since January 31 and after having surgery to remove his damaged cartilage, he was expected to not be able to play at least for 2 months but his recovery is going faster than anticipated and this is why David Moyes decided to let him for a few minutes during Real Sociedad’s match against Cordoba which turned out to be a good decision.

Mexico will be facing off with Ecuador and Paraguay on March 29 and April 1st respectively in friendly matches and even though Carlos Vela recently played a match with Real Sociedad, he will not be included in Miguel Herrera’s squad as the coach of Mexico has already stated that Vela is not part of his team for these upcoming friendly matches.
