VELA WANTS TO STAY

Arsenal’s Mexican striker Carlos Vela has said that he is not thinking about returning to Arsenal at the end of the season. The striker is on loan at Spanish club Real Sociedad, who are in danger of being relegated from the Spanish la Liga this season.

Only eight points separating them from being dragged into the relegation zone. Much was expected of them this season due to the arrival of Carlos Vela. However, the Mexican striker has excelled during his time at the Spanish club, which has prompted suggestions that he will be a major player for Arsenal next season. The Mexican, though, has played down reports suggested that he might want to stay with his current club Real Sociedad from next season onwards.

The 23-year-old has struggled for first-team opportunities at Arsenal, but he has been a first-team regular at Real Sociedad. Further, he has also scored six goals in his last seven matches for the club, which have prompted suggestions that Real Sociedad might be looking at the possibility of making his loan move permanent in the summer. This is his second season on loan at a Spanish club after he spent some time with Osasuna last season.

The speculation is such that Vela has been rumoured to be set for a call up to the Spanish team for the European Championships (might be worth some euro 2012 free bets if he is!)

“I already said [in January] that I wanted to finish the season here, scoring as many goals as I could and getting as many assists as possible. Later, when the time comes for transfers, I will talk about that. Now I am not thinking about either Arsenal or the future. I try to do my best and enjoy every moment at San Sebastian, because I do not know if I will stay here,” Vela said in a recent interview.

The striker has performed extremely well with Real Sociedad this season scoring 10 goals in the 30 appearances he has made.

VELA WAS NEVER HAPPY AT ARSENAL

Mexican star Carlos Vela has said in a recent interview that he was never really happy with life at Arsenal. The Mexican star is currently on loan deal till the end of the season with Spanish club Real Sociedad and has once again reiterated his decision that he would like to make his move permanent the summer.

Carlos Vela was expected to be one of the major stars at Arsenal alongside Cesc Fabregas, but the expected improvement within the Mexican never really came. In the end, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger decided to send him out on loan in order to provide him with more experience of European football.

However, the Mexican has recently admitted that he has never grown to like Arsenal and life in England. As a result, he would like to make his move to Real Sociedad permanent or at least move to another club in Spain in the summer. So far, he has been a great success at Real Sociedad after he has scored a number of goals for the Spanish club. It has helped the Spanish club keep their feet just above the relegation zone. In the 22 appearances he has made for Real Sociedad, Carlos Vela has scored four goals for the club.

“I would stay at Real. I am happy and the people support me. I owe Arsenal affection and gratitude for the opportunity that they gave me, but I was not happy there and this affected my work. It was hard day to day and, when it came to training, I was thinking about going home. Here, however, I am happy and have made good friends,” Carlos Vela said in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

Carlos Vela was signed for € 3 million from Guadalajara by Arsenal back in 2005, and his goals would be sorely missed by the team who are currently third favourites to land the title on latest online Premier League betting markets.

VELA WANTS PERMANENT MOVE

In a recent interview, Carlos Vela has said that he does not want to stay in Arsenal. Vela explained that he wants to stay in the Spanish League. This particular striker from Mexico came to Arsenal as a loan on Real Sociedad. He has spoken to the officials and also to his agent about the fact that he does not want to stay back in Arsenal team.

When asked to the official of Arsenal team, they said they are not at all disappointed with Vela’s present performance. Arsenal manager has also added that Vela plays the perfect role of a striker on the field. He is very calm at moments but during crucial moments of the game he knows how to place the ball in opponent’s goal.

The young talent from Mexico has many days of football play left in him. This phase of his career is the early phase and in that he has showed quite a great performance.

In the year 2006, Carlos Vela joined Gunners. He has made sixty appearances for the Gunners. The most disappointing fact is that despite of performing well on the field; Vela could not become a regular candidate in the Arsenal team. Sociedad has kept Vela as loan on Arsenal. He has to continue playing in Arsenal until the deal payment is made.

Carlos Vela says that he desperately wants to become a regular player on the field. But, Arsene of Arsenal has explained that there are many big names waiting on the bench. So, he is going to use a particular player according to the need of the match.

From all the in formations, it is quite clear that Vela is not at all enjoying his days in Arsenal. But when he has been given a chance to prove himself, he is utilizing the opportunity to its fullest.

VELA STARS AGAINST SEVILLA

Carlos Vela was one of the star performers for Real Sociedad in the match against Sevilla. Real Sociedad managed to win 2-0 against Sevilla in the La Liga.

Former Arsenal player Carlos Vela was instrumental in the victory for Real Sociedad. Michel’s tenure at Sevilla has just begun and Carlos Vela welcomed him with the worst possible present.

Marcelino Garcia was sacked last week as the Sevilla coach after a string of poor results left the club down in the 11th position in the table. The appointment of former Real Madrid star Michel was expected to revive the fortunes for Sevilla, but it did not happen in the match against Real Sociedad. The up to date football betting odds suggest that Sevilla will continue to struggle this season.

Carlos Vela was impressive in the match from the word go. He hit the post from extremely close inside the penalty box in the 13th minute, which was the first warning for Sevilla. However, they failed to control the Mexican and paid the ultimate penalty in the 65th minute when Carlos Vela opened the scoring after an assist from Aranburu. He was once again impressive and continued to threaten the Sevilla defence. He did not take long for Carlos Vela to help Real Sociedad extended their lead, as he provided to assist for Pardo to score in the 69th minute.

The two goals in quick succession ultimately killed off Sevilla and any threat they may have posed in the closing stages of the match. After the victory, Carlos Vela was hailed as the man of the match. Even though the victory may have been a very important one, it did little to help Real Sociedad climb up the table. Even after the three points secured from the 2-0 victory over Sevilla, Real Sociedad still remain in the bottom half of the table, but without any relegation trouble for now.

SOCIEDAD GRIND OUT A DRAW

Despite the best attempts of Carlos Vela, Real Sociedad could only draw against Osasuna. Both teams stretched their unbeaten run in the domestic campaign to 6 matches, although both teams will be unhappy that they could not win the match.

Real Sociedad would have been happier after two given that they could take at least one point away from the match, as it was Osasuna who completely dominated the match from start to finish. Carlos Vela only had a few chances to touch the ball, let alone score, as it was largely a game of tight defences and tactics.

Andres Fernandes was crucial for the Osasuna team, as he made a number of crucial saves to deny Carlos Vela and other Real Sociedad players during the match. Diego Ifran looked to have scored the first goal that would have opened the match after just 3 min, but Andres Fernandes produced a fantastic save from the volley to keep the game level.

Carlos Vela once again proved that he is one of the best strikers within the Real Sociedad squad by going extremely close to opening the scoring. He struck the post with great effort.

Osasuna came into the match on a fine run of form that has seen the club rise to fifth position in the La Liga, which also meant that the best football betting online odds of winning was just under evens!

Real Sociedad are struggling down in the bottom of the table. This one point might have looked like two points dropped at home, but in fairness, Real Sociedad would be more than happy to have secured at least one point, which takes them away from the relegation zone.

VELA FRUSTRATED AT SOCIEDAD

Carlos Vela has had a frustrating week playing for Real Scoiedad. whilst he has become an integral member fo the team on his loan spell at the Spanish club, Vela has been left dreaming of the service and attacking play he is used to at the Emirates. The Mexican played a total of 180 minutes for Real Sociedad, but was unable to bag himself a goal or even his team a point.

During the week, they went down 3-2 at high-flying Levante; an exciting game seemed destined to end a 2-2 draw, before Ruben Suarez stepped up and scored a magnificent free kick to win the game in the 93rd minute.

At the weekend, an extremely defenside Sociedad lost 1-0 at home to Real Madrid; Argentinian Higuain scored the only goal after 9 minutes. Deciding to line up with 5 defenders resulted in Vela, the solitary striker, being isolated and unable to affect the game whatsoever. Whilst he is a willing runner, these tactics do not suit his style of play and he is much more effective when playing upfront with a partner, or even out on the left wing.
