VELA ON THE MOVE

Arsenal's Mexican striker Carlos Vela has said that he is extremely fearful that the London club may block his move to Spanish club Real Sociedad. The Mexican striker spent the season on loan at the Spanish club where he has been extremely influential. As a result, it is thought that Real Sociedad would be interested in the possibility of making the deal permanent. The 23-year-old has not had the right amount of first-team opportunities at Arsenal.

As a result, he is thought to favour a move towards Real Sociedad on a permanent basis because it would allow him to play regularly. The signing of Lukas Podolski and the imminent arrival of Giourd to the Emirates stadium is likely to mean that Carlos Vela is the fourth choice striker at Arsenal next season. It is something that the 23-year-old certainly does not like, even if it means he won't get to play alongside childhood friend Jack Wilshere.

Recent reports appeared to suggest that Arsenal are looking at around £ 6 million for the Mexican striker, but Real Sociedad value him at considerably lower that amount. Carlos Vela's agent believes that his client is extremely disappointed that this valuation could result in Real Sociedad pulling out of the deal to sign him permanently.

'He is very happy at Sociedad, he wants to stay there, but Arsenal are a complicated club to deal with,' said Carlos Vela's agent in a recent interview. The striker has scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for the Spanish club, but he has a very poor record with the English club (Arsenal). He has managed only three Premier League goals during his spell with Arsenal, but he may point out to the lack of first-team opportunities as the main reasons for not scoring goals at Arsenal. Even if it is not Real Sociedad, Vela is widely expected to leave the club.
